Installation
The unit is intended for use indoors. It should not be
exposed to extreme damp or moisture.
The unit is affixed to the wall with 4 screws near the
door to be secured.
Ensure that the screws do not come into contact
with conductive material (e.g. masonary reinforce-
ment). This could lead to the creation of a
grounding loop and cause unit malfunctions.
Mounting instructions for installing a door strike
An electronic door strike actuated by a door code unit is mounted in the usual fashion in
a striking plate.
However, the position of the door strike must be aligned with particular care with the lock
position in this case, so that the latch bolt comes to rest with the least possible pressure
on the door strike latch bolt when the door is closed. An overtly extreme preload on the
door strike latch bolt could prevent release of the door, as the door strike is actuated by
the door code unit using direct current.
