Connectable consumers

General information
The compact door code unit relay output is a potential-free changeover contact. The internal output
voltage or an external voltage supply can be utilised as switching voltage.
This means that any chosen consumer can, in principle, be actuated in this manner, provided the
following conditions are met:
A) Internal output voltage is utilised as switching voltage:
The consumer should be designed for
of approx. 22 V.
In addition, the consumer should be equipped with
measures (e.g. free-wheeling diode for inductive consumers).
B) Ex ternal voltage is utilised as switching voltage
The relay contact rating should be observed when utilising external switching voltage:
1 A or 20 V AC / 0.5 A
Door strike
Door strikes can be connected to the compact door code unit according to load current or no-load
current principles (see connection diagram).
Load current principle:
The door strike is unlocked with voltage
Door locking security is ensured in the event of a power failure.
No-load current principle:
The door strike is unlocked with voltage
The door is released for all access
The monitoring contact of a door strike (or an other contact) can be connected as a strike or closer,
as the entrance is edge triggered.
We recommend the use of door strikes with a monitoring contact.
