General instructions

The unit is utilised to limit use of a door to a certain group of persons. This is achieved by making door
release dependent on a numeric code which can be freely programmed to a length of up to six digits in
the door code unit. The electronic door strike is actuated for a set time period if the programmed
number is input via the door code unit keypad, and the door can be opened. Actuation of the door strike
is interrupted when the set time period expires, and the door is locked again.
The unit can administer up to four different codes simultaneously:
-
1 main code, 2 to 6 digits
-
3 user codes, each 2 to 6 digits
User codes
can be
deleted
The main code also differs from user codes in being solely authorised to initiate or terminate

continuous unlocking.

Each code consists of a freely-selected number between 00 and 999999. This means that 1,111,100
different options exist for each code (see 4.7 for limitations)
Programmed codes are stored in a non-volatile memory. This means that programming is even
retained in the case of a power failure.

Operation

2.1

Unlocking the door

The unit is in continuous standby mode after the power supply (operating voltage) is activated and
code programming is completed. The code can be entered directly. The door is unlocked for a
specific time period immediately after the valid code is entered. (The door release time can be
programmed between one and 30 seconds (see 4.1). The green LED is illuminated while the door is
unlocked.
Where
door strikes with a monitoring contact
when the door is closed automatically interrupts an already active door release time. The door is
therefore locked again immediately after closing.
2.2
Continuous unlocking
Continuous unlocking can be actuated by the door code unit using the main code. The door is then
unlocked until continuous unlocking is deactivated again.
Activating continuous unlocking:
Press the + button and then enter the main code.
Deactivating continuous unlocking:
Press the - button and then enter the main code.
This function can be deactivated by pushing the slide switch at
the rear of the keypad PCB to the (OFF) position.
