The CO2 gas concentration is calculated as follows:
The following overview shows the required room volumes for common CO2 cylinder sizes (calculated on
the basis of a CO2 gas density of 2 kg/m³):

If the calculated gas concentration of 3 % is
exceeded, the following measures are possible:
» Use of a smaller CO2 gas cylinder
» Increase in the size of the room (e.g. by
removing doors)
» Installation of a CO2 gas warning device in
accordance with DIN 6653–2
» Installation of technical ventilation
Installing
Note!
A functional check of the gas pressure reducer
should be carried out before installing the CO2
cylinder.
The CO2 pressure should be set to approx. 1 bar
above the water pressure of approx. 2 bar, i.e.,
approx. 3 bar.
Functional check and connection
1
Check the gas pressure reducer for visible
external damage (1)
2
Screw the gas pressure reducer onto the CO2
cylinder
3
Close the shut-off valve (2)
4
Open the pressurised gas cylinder valve and
close it again (3)
5
Check for leaks
6
Open the pressurised gas cylinder valve again (3)
7
Use the adjusting screw (4) to set the working
pressure to approx. 3 bar (5) – green mark

Use the adjusting screw (4) to slowly increase
the pressure step by step until a slight blow-off
begins
sure further until the safety valve opens fully with
a loud noise. Observe the pressure gauge (5); this
should not exceed a value of approx. 7.7 bar
mediately afterwards and turn the adjusting
screw (4) back to 0 bar to prevent icing
and set the correct working pressure of 3 bar (4)
