5.3 MOUNTING THE WHEEL STOPPERS
In the new wheel stoppers for wide tyres, the centre of the bicycle tyre is shifted by
approx. 1 cm to the centre of the wheel rail. Insert the new wheel stopper with the
guiding ridge (Position 3 in the overview) into the wheel rail so that the bicycle tyre
is positioned away from the carry handle. See Figure 2.
The wheel stoppers for the other half the wheel rail are used accordingly.
Replace the end caps.
If you want to use a wheel stopper set on another bicycle rail of the bicycle rack, it must be assembled accordingly. I.e. the wheel
stoppers must be assembled so that the wheel of the bicycle is fastened away from the carry handle.
CAUTION: The wheel stoppers must always be located between the wheels of the bicycle, never in front of behind.
5.4 FASTENING THE TYRES
Press the unlocking lever (Position 5 in the Overview) upwards, Figure 3. Now
you can pull the tensioning belt (Position 6 in the overview) from the turn-
buckle (Position 4 in the overview). Place the bicycle on the bicycle rack and
fasten it with the frame holder using the instructions of your bicycle rack. Push
the wheel stoppers up to the bicycle tyres and tighten the knurled nuts.
Place the tensioning belt around the rim of the bicycle and insert the tensi-
oning belt into the turnbuckle. Position the rim protector (Position 7 in the
overview) so that the tensioning belt is unable to damage the rim as a result
of friction experienced during transport, Image 4. The tensioning belt is tighte-
