Remote Control: Display and Control Units
The remote control for the PP40 is available as a HELIX
accessory (Art.-Nr.: H424490).

Display
The display shows the operating status of the PP40
amplifier.

Push button
By using the push button you can chose between normal
mode and MIXED mode.
In the normal mode the radio signal is muted if one of the
AUX-inputs is active.
If you have selected the MIXED mode, the radio signals
are mixed with the signals of the AUX-inputs without mu-
ting the radio signal.

LED-Display
8 LEDs show the selected volume of the active AUX-
input.
Remote Control: Initial Start-Up and Functions
The connection cable of the remote control has to be
connected to the RJ45-jack plug of the PP40. (compare
page 12 / No.5).
Caution: in order to avoid malfunction please do not
connect or disconnect the remote while the PP40 is
in operation.
If the radio is switched on and no AUX-input is active,
the RADIO-display is illuminated. The display AUX1 or
AUX2 is illuminated as soon as the respective AUX-
input is active. The RADIO-display is then switched off.
If the TEL-MUTE input is active, the display TEL is illumi-
nated. The MIXED-display is activated if you switch from
normal mode to MIXED mode by using the push button.

Operating the menu
In order to activate the menu, please push the push but-
ton for ca. 5 seconds. As soon as the LED-Display (Nr.3)
starts flashing, the menu has been activated.
By pressing the push button the different subitems can be
selected. The selected items are indicated by a flashing
display (AUX1 or AUX2).

Slider
By using the Slider the volume of the active AUX-input
can be adjusted.

AUX-Input
3,5mm jack plug for connecting e.g. navigation sys-
tem, handsfree set, iPod.
The AUX-input is switched parallely to the AUX2-input of
the PP40. You can either use the AUX-input of the remote
control or the AUX2-input of the PP40. You can not use
both AUX-inputs at the same time.
The menu is closed and the respective adjustments are
saved if you do not operated the menu for more than 10
seconds.

Menu: Subitems
2.1
AUX1: Delay time
The delay time from AUX1 to RADIO can be adjusted
exactly and individually by using the slider (No.4). The
default setting of the delay time is 4 seconds. By turning
the slider to the right, the delay time can be increased,
by turning it to the left the delay time can be decreased.
The selected delay time is displayed on the LED-display
(compare Fig.5).

AUX2: Delay time
The delay time from AUX1 to RADIO can be adjusted
exactly and individually by using the slider (No.4). The
default setting of the delay time is 2 seconds. By turning
the slider to the right, the delay time can be increased,
by turning it to the left the delay time can be decreased.
The selected delay time is displayed on the LED-display
(compare Fig.5).
