2.2 Special safety instructions
WARNING:
Danger of burns! Do not open the lid during the boiling process.
Danger of burns! The casing and lid get very hot during use. Only handle the
appliance using the handles and buttons provided.
Attention! Do not overfill the appliance. If the appliance is overfilled, boiling
water can spurt out.
1. Only use the base unit included in the delivery for the operation of the appliance.
2. Pay special attention when opening the lid after the boiling process. The steam
escaping the appliance is very hot.
3. Do not fill the appliance while it is placed on the base unit.
4. For your own safety, only use fresh and cold drinking water.
5. Do not leave water in the water tank over long periods of time.
6. Ensure that the water level is always between the "MAX" and "MIN" marking.
Otherwise boiling water could spurt out or the appliance damaged.
7. Never use the appliance with an empty water tank.
2.3 Mains connection
1. The voltage indicated on the type plate of the appliance must correspond with your
mains voltage.
2. The mains plug is used as disconnecting device. Ensure that the mains plug is always
easily accessible.
3. Only the mains plug can disconnect the appliance for the mains supply completely.
4. Avoid damaging the power cord by bending and/or contact with sharp edges and keep
it away from hot surfaces and open flames.
5. Unplug the power cord, when not in use, when there are malfunctions or while
mounting accessories or before every cleaning.
6. Only unplug the power cord by pulling the mains plug itself, not the power cord.
7. If the power cord or casing of the appliance is damaged or was dropped, do not used
the appliance until it has been inspected by a professional electrician.
8. In order to avoid hazards, a damaged power cord may only be replaced by the
manufacturer, an appointed workshop or a similarly qualified person.
9. Do not use an extension lead.
