4. Special safety instructions

Warning - Risk of electric shock!
To prevent danger to life due to electric shock, please heed the following safety instructions:
• Use this product in dry indoor areas only and never outdoors.
• Never use, expose or put the product near to:
- direct sunlight and dust;
- fire (fireplace, grill, candles), water (water splashes, vases, ponds, bath tube) or heavy moisture.
Warning - Risk of burning!
To prevent the risk of accident and injury, please heed the following safety instructions:
• Risk of burns! Avoid contact with hot surfaces and escaping steam. Hold the product only by the
handle.
• Always leave sufficient space around the product. Boiling water can cause serious scalding.
• Do not move or transport the product while in operation or if it still contains hot water. There is a
risk of burns caused by spurting hot water.
Warning - Fire hazard!
The product works at high temperatures, please heed the following safety instructions to
prevent the risk of fire:
• Operate the product only if it is filled with water. The boil-dry protection prevents overheating if the
kettle is empty.
Warning - Property damage!
Please heed the following instructions to prevent property damage:
• Place the product on a flat, sturdy and slip-resistant surface.
• Close the lid when heating water. The temperature limiter only works when the cover is closed.
• Clean the product and all other accessories after each use.
• Follow the instructions in the chapter Cleaning and care.
