2. Important safety instructions
2.1 General safety instructions
1. Read this manual thoroughly before using the appliance for the first time. It contains
important information for your safety and for the use and maintenance of the
appliance. Keep the instruction manual in a safe place for future reference and/or
pass it along with the appliance.
2. Pay attention to all warnings on as well as in the appliance and this instruction
manual.
3. Only use the appliance for the intended use. Improper use can cause hazards.
4. This appliance is not intended for commercial use. It is only designed for domestic
use or similar environments, e.g.:
- staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments;
- by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments;
- bed and breakfast type environments;
- farm houses.
5. If you do not use the appliance for its intended purpose or improperly, no liability will
be accepted for resulting damages.
WARNING:
Danger of electrocution! Do not try to repair the appliance yourself. Please
return the appliance to the dealer or a qualified customer service centre for
maintenance and repairs.
6. Do not open the appliance. Do not insert objects into the openings of the appliance.
7. During operation, never leave the appliance unattended.
8. While cleaning or during operation, do not immerse the electric parts of the appliance
into water or other liquids. Never hold the appliance under running water.
9. Do not operate the appliance with wet hands and/or while standing on a wet floor.
10. Please ensure that the appliance is switched off, prior to lifting it of the base.
11. This appliance is not intended to be used by persons (including children) with
reduced physical, sensorial or mental capabilities, or lack of experience and/or lack
of knowledge, unless they have been given supervision or instructions concerning the
use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
12. Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
13. Ensure that the appliance does not end up in children hands unknown.
14. Be very careful when the appliance is used in proximity or by children.
