• Make sure that the room is adequately ventilated when the device is in use.
• Only use suitable kitchen utensils to place, remove or stir food: Metal kitchen
utensils may be used. To ensure that the non-stick coating of the ceramic plate
and the pans lasts a long time, however, we recommend using wooden or plastic
kitchen utensils.
• We recommend that you season ingredients after they have been prepared as the
spices may catch fire at high temperatures and produce smoke.
1. Always place the device on a dry, level, solid and heat-resistant surface with adequate space
on all sides.
2. Connect the device to a properly installed socket. Ensure that the cord does not pose a trip
hazard.
3. If this has not yet occurred, position the ceramic plate on the heating rod holders. Make sure
that the plate is firmly and securely positioned.
4. Let the device heat up without pans for a few minutes. Switch the On / Off button to position
1 to turn the device on.
5. Prepare the food in the mean time.
6. You can begin preparing the food once the device has heated up:
– If you would like to use the raclette pans, fill them and then place them on the rack under
the ceramic plate. Make sure that you do not overfill the raclette pans so that the food
does not touch the heating rods. Only push the pans into the device up to the stopper on
the handle to prevent damaging the handles.
– If you would like to use the wok pans, fill them and then place them on the ceramic plate.
– The ceramic plate can also be used for grilling vegetables or meat or for preparing crêpes,
pancakes or omelettes. Make sure that you do not overfill the ceramic plate in order to
prevent the liquid from overflowing.
7. Only hold the pans by the handles and always set them on heat-resistant bases. Let the pans
cool off somewhat before you fill them with new ingredients. Do not place any empty pan in
or on the device once it has heated up.
8. If you no longer use the device, turn it off by switching the On / Off button to the 0 position.
Then pull the plug out of the socket.
9. Let the device and the accessories cool off completely and then clean all parts (see section
"Cleaning and storage"). Do not allow any leftover food to dry on the device.
