❐ Ensure that the connected cord does not pose a trip hazard. The cable may not hang down
from the set up area to prevent the device from being pulled down. Never pull on the mains
cord in order to move the device.
❐ Lay the cable such that it is not crushed or creased and such that it does not come into
contact with hot surfaces.
❐ Do not subject the device to extreme temperatures, severe temperature fluctuations, direct
sunlight or moisture.
❐ Do not allow the device to fall and do not subject it to strong percussions.
❐ Make sure that the ceramic plate is securely and firmly positioned on the heating holders.

Proper use

❐ Fire hazard! Do not use the device if easily flammable gases are present in the air.
❐ Fire hazard! Make sure that foods containing large amounts of oil and fat do not overheat
and therefore catch fire.
❐ Check the device for damages prior to each use. If the device, the cord or the plug exhibit
visible damages, the device may not be used. Do not use the device if it had a malfunction or
has fallen down. In this case have it checked by an authorised service point.
❐ Never attempt to repair an electrical device yourself, rather locate the nearest customer
service centre / qualified professional for your own safety. In the event of damage, contact
the customer service department.
❐ Only use the enclosed accessories from the manufacturer. All warranty claims are forfeited
if accessories are used, which are not recommended by the manufacturer.
❐ Do not leave the device unattended when in operation!
❐ Never use the device to heat a room!
❐ Burn hazard! Be careful when working with hot oil or cheese! Never pour water in hot oil
or in other fatty ingredients!
❐ Burn hazard! Parts of the device (e. g. ceramic plate, heating rods) and the pans become
very hot during use. Be absolutely sure that you do not come into contact with the heated
parts during and after using the device. Only hold the pans by the handles and do not touch
the On / Off switch while the device is in use. Only transport, clean or stow the device and
the pans once all parts have cooled off completely.
❐ During and directly after use, always place the pans on heat-resistant surfaces. Do not place
any empty pan in or on the device once it has heated up.
❐ Only slide the raclette pans into the device up to the stopper on the handle. Sliding the pans
too far into the device may cause damage to the handles.
❐ Make sure that the heating rods do not come into contact with food, aluminium or cling film,
tools or metal utensils. This could cause damage to the device or a fire.
❐ Do not place flammable materials (e. g. cardboard, plastic, paper or candles) on or under the
ceramic plate.
❐ Do not cover the device to prevent a risk of fire.
❐ Do not move the device when in use.
❐ Never spray cold water on the hot parts of the device or pans during or directly after use. It
could damage the device and the non-stick coating of the ceramic plate and the pans!
