First Use of the Device
• Choose a suitable location for the device. Suitable loca-
tions are dry, even and antislip surfaces on which you may
operate the device easily.
• Make sure there is proper ventilation for the device!
• Sensitive surfaces such as the display may be protected
by plastic foil. Remove this foil.
Power Supply
1. Make sure the grid voltage corresponds to the figures on
the rating plate.
2. Connect the supplied power cord with the AC ~ connec-
tion on the back.
3. Insert the mains plug to a properly installed socket.
NOTE:
Disconnect from mains power supply during longer periods
of non-use.

General Operation

Switch the Device on / off
• Set the POWER switch to position "ON". The control
lamp POWER (6) lights up red.
NOTE:
After approx. 15 minutes without signal or with very
poor signal, the device will automatically switch to
standby. Press the button FUNCTION / to use the
device again.
• To turn off the device completely, set the POWER switch
to position "OFF". Disconnect the mains plug from the
socket.
Volume
Use the VOL. control to adjust the volume as desired.
Select the Operating Mode
Repeatedly press the FUNCTION / button to select the
desired operating mode.

Control panel and loudspeaker lighting
The two large loudspeakers as well as some of the buttons
and knobs on the control panel are illuminated. Press the
DISCO / LIGHT button repeatedly to set the lighting. Choose
one of the following settings:
LS 1 = Control panel and loudspeakers stay perma-
nently lit.
LS 2 = Control panel stays permanently lit. The lighting
of the loudspeakers is sound-activated.
OFF = The lighting is deactivated.
Built-in disco light effect
Hold the DISCO / LIGHT button pressed to turn the disco
light effect on or off.
DISC ON = Lighting is on.
DISC OFF = Lighting is off.
Sound Settings (18 / 24 / 25)
• You can adjust treble and bass with the controls TREBLE
and BASS.
• The EQ OPERATION controls can be used to set an
individual sound.
NOTE:
If necessary, adjust the EQ settings on your playback
device in order to generate a better sound.
Bass booster (booster)
With the BASS ON / OFF switch you can activate the booster.
Set the switch to position "ON".
