Connect the loudspeakers to the connections (23) on
the back.
Power Supply
Insert the mains plug into a correctly installed 230 V,
50 Hz mains power socket. Please ensure that the
mains voltage is the same as that stated on the type
plate.
After you have inserted the plug into the socket the
device automatically switches to the STANDBY mode
and the time „00:00" appears in the display (9).
Setting the Time (in the Standby Mode)
Keep the MEMORY button (7) (33 on the remote
control) pressed down. The minutes begin to fl ash.
Press the I
button (3/31) or the
once to move the display forwards or backwards
by one minute. If you keep the respective button
pressed down, the fi gures change more quickly
(fast mode). Keep the button pressed down until the
desired fi gure is reached.
In order to set the hours, please press the TONE
button (14) (32 on the remote control). The hours
begin to fl ash.
Please set the hours in the same way as you set the
minutes.
In order to store the time, press the MEMORY button
twice. The time stops fl ashing in the display (9).
This setting will be retained even if the device chan-
ges to the standby mode.
Note: If the had display fl ashes, this means that the time
setting has been lost, possibly due to a power cut, and
has to be set again.
Remote Control Batteries
The battery in the remote control is a long-life lithium
battery. If the range of the remote control decreases,
please proceed as follows:
Open the battery compartment on the side of the
remote control.
Replace the battery with a battery of the same type.
Please ensure the polarity is correct (see imprint on
the device holding the battery in place).
Now close the battery compartment.
Note: Batteries should not be thrown in the domestic
waste. Please return used batteries to the appropriate
collection points or to the dealer where you bought
them.
Batteries must never be thrown into a fi re.

General Operation

STANDBY/ON
(2/43):
This switches the device on or into the
standby mode. The display lights up in
blue.
TONE (14/32):
This is used to increase or reduce the
bass. Press the TONE button and the
letters „BAS 0" (bass sounds) appears
in the display (9). With the VOLUME
button you can alter the setting up to
max. + 7 and min. - 7. If you press the
TONE button again, the letters „TRE 0"
(treble sounds) appears in the display.

remote control: This is used for operating the device
Setting the Stations
Press the BAND/TUNER button (12/26) in order to
activate radio operation. The display shows the radio
frequency and the radio band on the left.
FM (MHz) and MW (KHz) = medium wave:
1. By pressing the BAND/TUNER button again you can
switch to another radio band.
2. If you press the I
(5/36) once, you can change the frequency being
received step by step. If the button is kept pressed
down, the fast search function is switched on.
3. If you have found the desired station, press the ME-
MORY button (7/33). The word „MEMORY" appears
in the display together with the programme storage
number.
4. In order to determine the programme storage
location, press the I
(5/36).
5. To store this position, press the MEMORY button
(7/33). Please note that the programme storage
location must be entered within fi ve seconds as the
procedure is then cancelled.
6. To select a stored station press the REPEAT button
(15/34).
7. If the reception of an FM STEREO station is too weak
and there is interference from noise, try turning,
winding up, unwinding or changing the position of
the aerial (20) to improve reception.
8. When AM stations are being received please insert
the frame antenna supplied into the aerial connection
(21) on the rear of the machine.
9. Storage of the stations is deleted as soon as the
mains plug is removed from the socket and in the
case of power cuts.
Please proceed in the same way as
with the bass sounds.

volume. Turn the control a little to the
right - VOL + or to the left - VOL -. The

„VOL MAX" or „VOLUME 00".
