Loads on the equipment mounted to the basic
carrier bars must not restrict the area in which the
sliding sunroof is raised at the rear. The sliding
sunroof could otherwise be damaged when being
raised at the rear.

Installation
The fitting/removal is illustrated using the basic carrier
bar at the front of the Coupé by way of example.
Fitting/removal of the rear basic carrier bar on the
Coupé and fitting of the basic carrier bars on the
Shooting Brake are carried out in the same way.
Fit/remove the basic carrier with the help of a second
person.
First fitting
1. Open the cover caps completely.
2. Unlock cover caps (6) with key (3) and remove
them from basic carrier bars (1).
