Software update
Press during the System settings mode the ▲/▼/◄/► buttons (27) / (38) / (28) / (37) to
select Software update and then press the SELECT button (7) / (36) to confirm.
Press the ▲/▼/◄/► buttons (27) / (38) / (28) / (37) to select Auto-check setting or Check
now, and then press the SELECT button (7) / (36) to confirm.
Note: Before downloading software, ensure that the radio is plugged into a stable mains
power socket. Interrupting the mains supply during software download can lead to functional
disturbances and/or damage to the appliance!

Software upgrade (ONLY for qualified employees)
Press during the System settings mode the ▲/▼/◄/► buttons (27) / (38) / (28) / (37) to
select Software upgrade and then press the SELECT button (7) / (36) to confirm.
If you want to upgrade the appliance press the INFO button (5) / (25).
Note: This function cannot be used by the user!

Setup wizard
The Setup wizard is available in the system settings section. You can run through this to
configure settings for date/time and network. Once this has finished, your radio is ready to
use. ( See also 4.1 First connection to the mains socket)
Note: It is not necessary to run through the Setup wizard if a wired network is being used:

Press during the System settings mode the ▲/▼/◄/► buttons (27) / (38) / (28) / (37) to
select Info and then press the SELECT button (7) / (36) to confirm.
The Software version and Radio ID will be shown on the display (2).
5.11 Backlight
Press during the System settings mode the ▲/▼/◄/► buttons (27) / (38) / (28) / (37) to
select Backlight and then press the SELECT button (7) / (36) to confirm.
For the other settings under Backlight press mode the ▲/▼/◄/► buttons (27) / (38) / (28) /
(37) to select the following options and press the SELECT button (7) / (36) to confirm:

INTERNET RADIO OPERATION
This radio can play thousands of radio stations and podcasts from all over the world via a
broadband internet connection. When Internet Radio mode is selected, the radio connects
with the Frontier Silicon Internet radio portal to download a list of stations. Once a station is
selected, the radio will connect directly to that station.
6.1
Switching the radio on and to standby
Press the button (8) / (24) to switch the appliance on.
If the radio function is not set yet, press the MODE button (9) / (33)
repeatedly to select internet radio mode. See Fig. 4.
During Internet Radio mode, press the MENU button (6) / (26) to access
the menu. You can choose between: Last listened, Station list, System settings and Main
menu.
Press the ▲/▼/◄/► buttons (27) / (38) / (28) / (37) to select and confirm with the SELECT
button (7) / (36).

Last listened
Press the ▲/▼/◄/► buttons (27) / (38) / (28) / (37) to select the history of stations that you
have listened to before.
Press the SELECT button (7) / (36) to confirm.

Station list
Press the ▲/▼/◄/► buttons (27) / (38) / (28) / (37) to select from the following options, and
then press the SELECT button (7) / (36) to confirm.
