Place the appliance on a level, stable, clean and dry surface.
Ensure that there is sufficient ventilation. Keep a minimum distance of 5 cm between the
product and other objects or walls.
3.2
Power supply
Insert the power adaptor (23) into the DC IN
Connect the power adaptor (23) to a suitable wall outlet. Make sure that the power supply
voltage is the same as needed for the appliance.
3.3
Battery replacement for the remote control
To remove the battery from the remote, Slide out the battery holder
from the remote control case by pushing the tab.
Place the a new 3 V CR2032 battery in the remote control according
to polarity markings ("+" and "-") inside the holder and on the
battery.
Insert the battery holder into the battery compartment.
Note: Before the first use the safety strip in the battery compartment
must be removed.
3.4
Remote control operation range
The remote control sensor on the front of the appliance is sensitive
to the remote control's commands up to a maximum of 4 metres
away and within a maximum of 60° arc.
Please note that the operating distance may vary depending on the
brightness of the room.
3.5
Network connection – wired network
Check first of all whether the control lamps (LINK/ACT) of your LAN connection or your router
light up.
Connect the network port RJ45 (18) on the appliance to the corresponding port on your
Router using a commercially available LAN or Ethernet cable (CAT5 or better with RJ45
connector).
Proceed with the operations described in the below "BASIC FUNCTIONS". It is not
necessary to run through the setup wizard.
Using a wired network provides a better performance than a wireless connection because
the attached devices connect directly to the network and are not subject to radio frequency
interference.

Network connection – wireless network
Check first of all whether the control lamps (LINK/ACT) of your LAN connection or your router
light up.
Proceed with the operations described in the below "BASIC FUNCTIONS". It is highly
recommended to run through the setup wizard in the System Settings section.
Note: This appliance cannot be connected to a standalone modem directly. A router or
a modem incorporated with a router has to be used. Since there are various connection
configurations, please follow the specifications and instructions of your telecommunication
carrier, Internet service provider, and router setting manual.
4.
BASIC FUNCTIONS
4.1
First connection to the mains socket
When connect the power adapter (23) with the appliance and the
mains socket, the display (2) will show "Welcome to Internet Radio
STARTING....". See Fig. 1.
Afterwards the time and date indication will flash on the display (2) and the
Radio tries to receive actual time and date from the Internet. See Fig. 2.
