Reducing sensitivity
The LSNi/LSN control panel can be used to adapt sensitivity to
function-induced noises. The sensitivity set at present can be
reduced by a factor of 2, 4, or 8. The 'minimal' setting reduces to
⅛ of the sensitivity of "steel, 1.5 m".
It is either activated by the LSNi/LSN control panel or via a LOW
(
signal on 'Remote'
7
terminal 10).
Sensitivity should only be reduced for a short time (max.
60 seconds). Deviations from this must be checked to
ensure they comply with valid regulations (e.g. VdS).
Function test
A function test can be triggered by the LSNi/LSN control panel in
conjunction with the installed test transmitter GMXS1. This alarm is
activated if the detector is working correctly (activation time <3s).
Automatic selftest
The time interval (once an hour/day/week) is set using the control
panel. The detector's timer starts when it is activated via the
control panel. The control panel is notified of an unsuccessful
selftest.
Requires the test transmitter GMXS1.
8. Commissioning
- Initialize LSNi/LSN bus - wait 60 s - detector is ready for use.
- Function test: Trigger alarm to test (e.g. scrape with
screwdriver or switch on test transmitter GMXS1 or GMXS5).
- Check for interfering influences with measuring instrument
(Ri ≥20 kΩ) on 'GND'

11. Modular vaults
Valid for the following module dimensions:
Between 100 mm and 400 mm thick
Up to 1000 mm wide

connection
When using the seismic detector on steel and concrete modular
vaults, you must observe and comply with the following principles:
1. One detector for a maximum of 5 wall modules, the detector is
positioned on the middle module.
2. In
addition
400 − 500 mm, all joints between the modules must be
welded with a 30 − 40 mm long welded seam.
3. Corner connections on wall modules must be welded
continuously if the effective region is to be used beyond the

A for
corners.
4. For wall modules fitted with detectors, the directly adjacent
ground and/or ceiling module can be included in the effective
region if the corresponding seam is welded continuously.
5. For mixed designs where different module thicknesses are
combined, the seams must be welded continuously.
6. Avoid positioning detectors on modules where guide rails for
cassette transport lifts, fans or other mechanical equipment
are mounted.
7. Mount detectors on modules with an input or output opening,
where they can also monitor the neighboring modules.
