Inspection and maintenance instructions
Safety information
Take suitable steps to take the tension off the ratchet lever hoist before commencing any inspection or
maintenance work.

Every 3 months
Inspect chain for wear and service in accordance with DIN 685
Inspect brake for wear:
Set the selector lever to "FREE"
Release the handwheel from its locked position by turning anti-clockwise
If you can turn the handwheel through more than 60°, the brake disks are worn and have to
be renewed by a specialist *)
IMPORTANT: Keep lubricant off the brake disks and their contact faces
Every 12 months
Inspect all parts for wear and replace defective parts where necessary
Inspect the chain. Discard the chain upon reaching the control dimensions d=0.9 or
11 x t+
Inspect the load hook. Discard the load hook upon reaching the control dimensions

Check that the rating plate is still legible
Arrange for inspection by a specialist *)
Every 24 months
Carry out an oil change:
Open the gear unit, remove the old lubricant, fill in new lubricant, seal the housing, re-
assemble the gear unit.
Must be performed only by specialists *)

Service life is limited. Replace worn parts in good time.

Recommended lubricant for greasing points:
Multipurpose grease DIN 51825 T 1 K2K
You must dispose of old lubricant in accordance with the statutory regulations

Disposal
When you take the ratchet lever hoist out of service, arrange for its parts to be
disposed of in accordance with the statutory recycling regulations
