(C) TECHNICAL DATA

(C:1 & C:2) Attenuation values:
The attenuation values for Peltor active-volume hearing
protector radios are tested and approved according to PPE
directive 89/686 EEC and applicable sections of European
Standard EN 352-1:1993/EN 352-3, EN352-4: Certificate
issued by FIOH, Topeliuksenkatu 41, FI-00250 Helsinki,
Finland ID#0403. The Peltor ALERT meets the requirements
of EMC directives EN55013 and 55020 and is FCC-ap-
proved (number FCC Part 15).
Explanation of the attenuation value table:
1. Weight
2. Frequency in Hz
3. Average attenuation value in dB
4. Standard deviation in dB
The earphone volume for music is measured at no more
than 81 dB(A) equivalent noise level according to the
PPE directive.
(C:3) Input signal level/usage time:
Maximum permitted audio signal in relation to usage
time
1. Hrs/day
2. Average level/electrical signal
3. Music/compressed speech x = 0.40 V
4. Uncompressed speech x = 0.63 V
To prevent harmful noise levels in the earphones, never
exceed these values (speech signal mean level).
(C:4) Level relationship:
Tested according to ISO 4869-4. Relationship between
A-weighted sound pressure level outside and inside the
shell.
(C:5) Noise suppression:
Frequency response and noise suppression for MT7 speech
microphone (headset model only)
