The axles are thinner in the middle, letting the lines of force pass below the thread. This lessens the

Instructions
The Tune DC 14 quick release skewers can be used with suspensions forks!
If the axle is too long it can be shortened, but this voids the warranty on both the thread of the axle and
the nut. The warranty on the stability of the axle remains intact. If the axle is shortened, the ends have
to be deburred, so that the nut can be screwed on easily.
Please make sure that the wheel is properly positioned in the drop-outs before closing the skewers.
The threadless part of the axle must not protrude from the drop-out! Clamping would be impossible.
This quick release is without any spring as the clamping force could be effected negatively thereby.

Installation
Close the quick release skewers by first screwing on the end nut until it touches the drop-out. Then
close the quick release lever, open it again and tighten the end nut once more if necessary. After this,
you can close the quick release lever so far that it is located behind or before the frame i.e. fork.
Please, if necessary do not be afraid of damaging the skewers by high tension. They are designed to
withstand any clamping force. The concave "pan" on which the excenter runs is covered by a dry
lubricant. Do not oil or grease them!
Do obtain maximum life of this bonded coating keep the surfaces clean. It is possible to change the
position of the lever even in the close-position by turning a few degrees left or right.
After having closed the lever, the axle should protrude by at least one whole turn of thread. Make sure
the lever does not reach out of the frame to prevent involuntary changes of position.
