Manual: Caution! Please read the entire manual carefully before using the Cappy seat post head!
We congratulate you to your TUNE Cappy seat post head. You did the best choice. Your TUNE Cappy seat post head was designed and
manufactured in Germany according to highest quality standards. Nevertheless you have to consider following advice. Please make any
other users familiar with that manual.
Please preserve that manual and hand it out to the new user by reselling the TUNE Cappy seat post head.Please consider it is your
liabillity to inspect your product to figur out the need of service or replace of the TUNE Cappy seat post head. Consider your TUNE
Cappy seat post head is security-relevant.

Please inspect your TUNE Cappy seat post head in periodical intervals. It is urgent to do that after a crash or damage. You have to
allow for chamfers, cracks and dents. Replace your TUNE Cappy seat post head by the sightest signal of a damage! Please contact
your dealer if you are insecure.
Do not repair damaged parts by yourself. Otherwise it could be that the part will collapse in consequence a crash with fatal injuries can
follow.
Conventional use:
The TUNE Cappy seat post head is for Mountainbikes and road bikes with integrated seat-post (ISP). We have no limit in riders weight
for the TUNE Cappy seat post head.
Assembly:
Before mounting the seat post head test seat tube of the frame on correct measure. As a basic principle all contact areas (not
the post head) must be lubricated by a solid containing MoS2 or with Cu grease. The best we found out is a high viscosity
copper paste.
The attachment Screw is in the mounted position backwards.
The saddle is easier to install when it hangs loose upside down and the semicircle compensator is inserted afterwards with the
milled ridge showing backwards. In this stage do not screw tightly the M6 screws to prevent deformation of the Cappy. Now put
the saddle and Cappy unit on the integrated seat post and tight the M5-screw with 4,5-5 Nm. Do not use grease on the post but
the friction rising paste "Dynamics" is allowed. The integrated post must fit minimum to the "min" marking.
The components of the complete head are positioned in such a way that the Ti- screws do not touch the compensator and the
talon lies as flat as possible on the rail of the saddle. To enable this the threads of the talons are 5° outside to right- angled. Turn
the talons if necessary.
The right torque for the Ti- screws is 5-6 Nm. Creep groan occurs if the wrong grease is used or missing or the rear talon
touches the compensator.
Safety:
Never position the seat post head outside the min. mark. If the marking has disappeared by (wrong) use take care that the tube
end is minimum 3,5cm inside the Cappy.
