2 Handling
2.1 Positioning
INFORMATION
Pressure on the cushions can only be optimally distributed, if the footrest of the wheelchair has
been adjusted in such a way that the thigh of the user is in full contact with the cushion surface.
2.2
Always make sure that the cushion is correctly positioned in the wheelchair and that the cover is
correctly re-mounted after it has been removed.
The spacer fabric lies above the cubic structure; the rounded side faces the rear. The cushion
should be fixed to the wheelchair's seat cover with a hook and loop strip.
2.3 Cleaning and Care
NOTICE
Risk of damage due to improper cleaning. Do not use any bleaching agents. Do not tumble-
dry the foam parts.
INFORMATION
Should it be necessary to disinfect the cushion (cover/foam parts), add a standard hygiene
detergent during washing (e.g. Sagrotan laundry hygiene detergent).
In case of heavy incontinence, an additional incontinence cover should be used. Please observe
the care and cleaning instructions for each incontinence cover used.
Cover
1. For separate washing, open the zipper on the cover and remove it.
2. Close the zipper on the cover before washing.
3. The cover can be washed at 65 °C using a mild, environmentally friendly detergent. Recom-
mendation: Wash the cover on the gentle cycle at 40 ºC in order to prevent excessive wear.
4. Allow to air dry. When using an automatic clothes drier, select the gentle cycle at low temperature.
Replace the cover in case of advanced wear and tear.
Foam parts
All foam parts can be washed by hand at 40 °C using a mild, environmentally friendly detergent.
Allow to air dry.
