Maintenance

Cinderella operates in an extreme environment, with high temperatu-
res, acids and exhaust gases. This results in a need for a preventive
maintenance cycle for the ash bin, exhaust manifold, fan and cata-
lyst. It is recommended to carry out service / maintenance at an
authorized caravan workshop, in connection with regular servicing
of the caravan. Some maintenance however you should do yourself,
for example, every 3. time you empty the ash bin. You should do the
following:
Clean the ash bin insert
Urinary salts and burnt on residue can be dissolved by pouring hot
water into the bowl and letting it stay for 15-30 min. Clean out using
a brush. Avoid using sharp objects to prevent damage to the stain-
less steel surface.
Note: Chlorine-based detergent should not be used. (Chlorine gas
damages all metal over time and will destroy the catalyst very quickly).

Surface cleaning

Use common household detergent (Not containing chlorine).
Note! The toilet must be cool.
1. Lock the toilet in the open position by opening the toilet lid and
holding down the start button until the bowl hatch opens. Both
the bowl hatch and the combustion chamber hatch will remain in
the open position until the toilet lid is re-closed . A safety feature
prevents the hatches from being locked into the open position
when the toilet is not cool.
2. Clean the toilet bowl. Then put the toilet lid down. The hatches to
the bowl and combustion chamber are re-closed. Use paper cloth
for cleaning, it can be dropped into the combustion chamber and
left for burning during the next combustion cycle.
Rinsing the catalyst
In order to ensure that your toilet's combustion process is efficient,
we recommend rinsing the catalyser at regular intervals, for exam-
ple every time you start using a new package of paper bags. Follow
these simple instructions:
1. Empty and clean the ash container.
2. Turn off the main switch and place the toilet in service mode.
3. Remove the inlet flange at the top of the catalyser pipe by loose-
ning the wing nut before lifting it off (study the illustration).
4. Lift the catalyser straight up and remove it from the toilet.
5. Rinse the catalyser with hot running water until all channels are
cleared and all ash residue is gone (study the illustration).
6. Reinstall the catalyser in the toilet, attach the inlet flange and
tighten the wing nut.
7. Turn on the main switch and replace the shell.
8. Start a combustion process in order to dry the catalyser.
