Clearing alert
The most important maintenance task is to empty the ash bin regularly. Your toilet is equipped with a notification
feature that tells you when it's time to empty the ash bin. After approx. 70 visits you will see alternating yellow and
red flashes on the control panel, which indicates that it is time to empty the ash bin. In addition, you will hear 3 quick
beeps when you lift the lid. After approx. 90 uses the toilet will be disabled for use and will no longer start combustion
processes. The red and yellow lights will be on continuously, and when the toilet lid is lifted there will be continuous
audible tones. The toilet will not be able to be used until the ash tray has been emptied.
Clearing the ash bin
We recommend emptying once per week, or by clearing alert if it occurs first.
1. Wait until toilet has cooled and the fan has stopped.
2. Open the lock to the cabinet which you wil find on the top at the back.
3. Grasp the cabinet and lift it up until it comes into a holding notch. Then tilt the cabinet backwards.
4. Lift the latch at the front of the ash bin.
5. Pull the ash bin out to the front. Remove the insert in the ash bin and empty the ashes. There are no restrictions
on the disposal of this ash. If necessairy clean the insert of urine salts and other burnt on material (See "Main-
tenance" for instructions) A clean and empty the ash drawer for more efficient combustion Remember! Put the
insert in place before putting the ash bin back into the toilet.
6. Insert ash bin all the way into the toilet.
7. Refasten the latch to secure it in place. Lower the cabinet and secure the cabinet lock.
