5 OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Changing Tool Bits
Take care when inserting a tool bit that the shank
of the tool bit is seated firmly in the tool bit hold-
er. When the shank of the tool bit is not inserted
deeply enough in the tool bit holder, the tool bit can
slide out and no longer be controlled.
Attaching the Tool Bit

Press in the pin on the drive square of the bit holder 6,
e.g., with the aid of a small screwdriver, and slide the
tool bit 7 over the drive square. Take care that the pin
engages in the recess of the tool bit.
Removing the Tool Bit
Press in the pin in the recess of the tool bit 7 and pull
the tool bit out of the tool bit holder 6.

Putting into Operation

The air tool operates optimally with a pressure of
6.3 bar (91 psi) measured at the air inlet with the tool
running.
Pay attention to the direction of rotation that is
set before switching on the tool. For example,
when a screw is to be loosened and the direction of ro-
tation is set so that the screw is tightened, this can
lead to a strong torque reaction of the tool.

Setting the Direction of Rotation

Right rotation:
Rotate the right/left rotation switch 1 in the coun-
terclockwise direction toward F (Forward).
Left rotation:
Rotate the right/left rotation switch 1 in the clock-
wise direction toward R (Reverse).
Switching On/Off
If the tool does not start after, for example, not being
used for a long period of time, disconnect the air
supply and turn the motor repeatedly by rotating the
tool bit holder 6. This eliminates adhesive forces.
Switching on: Press the lever switch
4 and keep it pressed down during
4 the operation. Light pressure pro-
duces a low rotation speed and
makes possible a gentle, controlled
start. In this way, the most appropri-
ate rotation speed for the respective work being per-
formed can be chosen.
Switching off: Release the lever switch 4.

Working Instructions

Disconnect the air hose from the air supply be-
fore making any adjustments, changing acces-
sories, or storing the tool. Such preventive safety
measures reduce the risk of starting the tool acciden-
tally.
Excess loads that cause the tool to stall or reduce
speed will not damage the motor.
In the event of an interruption of the air supply
or reduced operating pressure, switch off the
tool. Check the operating pressure and start
again when the pressure returns to normal.
