4.2 Mounting
1) Remove the recessed head screw on the front side
of the housing, then remove the housing cover.
2) Mark the four mounting holes (1) at a suitable place.
For this purpose, use the housing as a template.
The best place to screw on the eye of the tear-off
loop (11) is within the opening (10) for leading
through the connection cables. Mark this mounting
hole as well. Then drill the holes.
3) Lead the connection cables through the opening
(10) and screw on the alarm unit. Then screw on the
eye of the tear-off loop (11).
4.3 Connection to the alarm control panel
WARNING The sound level of the siren is very high.
As a precaution, always wear ear pro-
tection when working on the alarm unit.
To prevent false alarm during installa-
tion, always observe the order of the op-
erating steps below.
Note: To prevent false alarm during installation, it will
take approx. 50 seconds after applying the supply volt-
age or connecting the rechargeable battery before the
alarm unit is ready for operation.
1) Connect the screw terminals 10 and 12 of the ter-
minal strip (5) for the anti-tamper loop to the corre-
sponding connections of the alarm control panel.
2) Connect screw terminal 3 via the alarm relay (NC
contact) of the alarm control panel to the positive
pole of the operating voltage for the alarm unit.
In case of alarm control panels with a normally
open contact (NO contact) or a 12 V output for
alarm triggering, a relay with normally closed
contact (NC contact) will be additionally required –
see figure below, version A or B.
3) Connect the 12 V operating voltage to the screw ter-
minals 1 and 2: connect the negative pole to the ter-

4) Connect the flat plug (8) of the red cable to the posi-
tive pole of the rechargeable battery and the flat
plug (7) of the black cable to the negative pole.
5) Close the housing with the cover so that the anti-
tamper contact (9) is also closed.
6) Set the alarm control panel into operation and trig-
ger an alarm as an operational check.

5 Maintenance

Each rechargeable battery is subject to natural ageing.
This ageing process is accelerated by extreme varia-
tions in temperatures particularly occurring in case of
outdoor installation of the alarm unit. Therefore, check
the rechargeable battery at regular intervals, e. g. while
routinely checking the alarm system and replace it, if
necessary.
