4.2 Connection to the alarm control panel
WARNING The sound level of the siren is very high.
The siren will sound immediately when
the black flat plug and the red flat plug
(3 and 4) are connected to the battery
connections and before all other connec-
tions to the alarm control panel have been made or
when the control panel triggers an alarm. Therefore,
make all other connections before connecting the
rechargeable battery and close the cover of the alarm
unit to close the anti-tamper contact before setting the
alarm control panel into operation. As a precaution,
wear ear protection when working on the alarm unit.
1) Connect the screw terminals 10 and 12 of the ter-
minal strip (7) for the anti-tamper loop to the corre-
sponding connections of the alarm control panel.
Shorten the line of the tear-off loop (8) to such a
length that the line will tear off immediately when
the alarm unit is forcibly removed from its place of
mounting.
2) Connect the screw terminals 1 and 3 to the alarm
relay (NC contact) of the alarm control panel.
3) Connect the 12 V operating voltage to the screw ter-
minal 1 (negative pole) and to the terminal 2 (posi-
tive pole).
4) Connect the red flat plug (4) to the positive pole of
the rechargeable battery and connect the black flat
plug (3) to the negative pole. As soon as the opera-
ting voltage is applied, the rechargeable battery will
be charged via the independent module (5).
5) Close the housing with the cover so that the anti-
tamper contact (10) is also closed.

6) Set the alarm control panel into operation and trig-
ger an alarm as an operational check.
Note: After switching on the operating voltage, it will
take 2 minutes until the alarm unit is ready for operation.

5 Maintenance

Each rechargeable battery is subject to natural ageing.
This ageing process is accelerated by extreme varia-
tions in temperatures particularly occurring in case of
outdoor installation of the alarm unit. Therefore, check
the rechargeable battery at regular intervals, e. g. while
routinely checking the alarm system and replace it, if
necessary.
