EC Declaration of Conformity
The EC declaration can be found at the end of this manual.
Faults and Damages
If there is any reason to suspect that the safety of the phone has been com-
promised, it must be withdrawn from use and removed from any ex-
hazardous areas immediately.
Measures must be taken to prevent any accidental restarting of the phone.
The safety of the phone may be compromised, if, for example:
malfunctions occur.
the housing of the phone or the battery shows damage.
the phone has been subjected to excessive loads.
the phone has been stored improperly.
markings or labels on the phone are illegible.
It is recommended that a phone which shows or which is suspected of faults
and damages is returned i.safe MOBILE GmbH for inspection.
Ex-relevant Safety Regulations
Use of this phone assumes that the operator observes the conventional safe-
ty regulations and has read and understood manual, safety instructions and
certificate.
The following safety regulations must also be complied with:
Inside ex-hazardous areas the phone must be closed. The battery cover
has to be fixed by the two screws and the covers of the interfaces have to
be closed.
To ensure the IP-protection, it has to be ensured that all gaskets are pre-
sent and functional. The screws at the top and the bottom of the back of
the phone need to be covered by the black gaskets, so that the screw
heads are not visible. There must be no large gap between the two halves
of the housing.
