Polisher
2.4.1 Adjustment
Before use, check that the polishing wheels (A) (see fig.2.4.1) are screwed firmly to
the shaft. The polishing wheel must be fitted during operation. The polishing wheel
(A) must rotate freely without being loose.
Checks and adjustments must only be performed if the machine is still and switched
off.
2.4.2 Operation
Once you have connected and adjusted the polishing wheel, the polisher is ready for
use. Run the item steadily in towards the polishing wheel and avoid hard, jerky
pressure or blows; always use a firm but light pressure to avoid damaging the
polishing wheel or overloading the motor. Allow the machine to reach maximum
speed before beginning polishing. And aim to polish at the highest speed possible.
Fasten the item securely, if possible, using a clamp or vice; this is safer than holding
it in your hand.
Do not stop the polishing wheel rotating by pushing something against it; always allow
the polishing wheel to rotate freely until it stops of its own accord.
