Instructions for use
2.2.1 Operation
After you have made the above-mentioned adjustments and connected the
grinder/polisher, it is ready for use. Run the item steadily in towards the
grinder/polisher and avoid hard, jerky pressure or blows; always use a firm but light
pressure to avoid damaging the grinder/polisher or overloading the motor. Allow the
machine to reach maximum speed before beginning grinding. And aim to grind at the
highest speed possible. Fasten the item securely, if possible, using a clamp or vice;
this is safer than holding it in your hand.
Avoid grinding on the side of the grinding wheel unless a cup wheel grinder is being
used. Do not stop the grinding wheel rotating by pushing something against it; always
allow the grinding wheel to rotate freely until it stops of its own accord.
It is important to work in good light.
