FUNCTION TESTING
Urea solution is not a fuel additive. Do not dispense the liquid into a Diesel tank, but only into a dedicated
separate tank.
Depending on the vehicle model the filler inlet is normally located next to the Diesel filler inlet, or may
be in the boot/trunk or the engine bay. Please follow your vehicle manufacturer's AdBlue
instructions.
Handling of the nozzle is similar to conventional ZVA nozzles. In order to dispense the nozzle must be
pushed fully onto the filling point of the AdBlue
When the tank is full, the nozzle will shut off automatically.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Flowrate too low : Follow the instructions to increase the flowrate in chapter 'Calibration / Flowrate
Adjustment'. Ensure that the operating pressure ( at the nozzle / hose connection ) is at least 1,5 bar.
No dispensing : Ensure that the operating pressure ( at the nozzle/hose connection ) is at least 1,5 bar.
refilling
In case of unreleased pressure in the spout – caused by improper operation*
pressure by pushing the EW 22 test adapter onto the spout until stop. If this does not help, remove
the scuffguard, remove the guard and loosen the spout screw with EW SK 3 ( hex key, 3 mm ) until
liquid comes out, see pictures below. Attention, splashes possible - wear safety glasses. Reassembly
in reverse order.
Spout untight : Check for mechanical damage, in this case substitute the spout. Also check if AdBlue
has crystallised in the spout tip. In this case soak the nozzle spout in a bucket of warm water. This helps
to dissolve the crystals.
No automatic shut-off : Push EW 22 test adapter over the nozzle spout to override the misfilling
prevention, check if the flowrate is at minimum 3 l/min when the lever is fully pulled and afterwards in
the upper latched position. If necessary, follow the instructions to increase the flowrate on page 12.
Premature shut-off : Check if AdBlue
spout in a bucket of warm water. This helps to dissolve the crystals. Ensure that the measured flowrate
at the '10 l/min'-setting ( calibration position of the LV-hose connection ) or in conjunction with hose
connections without a volume flow switch does not exceed 10 l/min. Additionally, the operating
pressure ( at the nozzle / hose connection ) shall not exceed 3.5 bar. Reduce the output as shown on
page 12 in case the flowrate or the operating pressure exceeds 10 l/min or 3.5 bar, respectively.
If dispensing is not possible due to failed dispenser heating ( icing ), first bring back the heating
into service. Once a sufficient operation temperature is reached, dispense at least 3 − 4 l AdBlue to
restore the full functionality.
If ZVA AdBlue LV still does not work properly, please contact Elaflex.

Please note: multiple dispensing attempts ( pulling the lever very often ) without either test adapter
EW 22 or complete connection to the ISO 22241-5 filler point lead to the formation of an overpressure
within the nozzle. This may temporarily inhibit the dispensing.
