DESCRIPTION
ZVA AdBlue LV is a dispensing nozzle with automatic safety shut-off for wet hose use with urea solution
( AdBlue ® / DEF / AUS32 / ARLA32 ). It is suitable for filling AdBlue
commercial vehicles up 3,5 t ( 'Light Vehicles' ). To protect against misfilling into the diesel tank, the
nozzle spout is equipped with an interface to allow dispensing of AdBlue
filling interface to ISO 22241-5.
Each nozzle is factory tested before being marked with the production date and its unique serial number.
HINTS ABOUT THE HOSE CONNECTION
For the calibration of the dispenser only, a flowrate of 8 -10 l/min is required. For daily operation, the
recommended flowrate should be 4 - 5 l/ min in order to fill all current vehicles without problems.
ZVA AdBlue LV is preferably chosen with swivel EA 075 LV or Safety Svivel Break SSB 16 LV. These
hose connections are equipped with a volume flow switch, use settings of '10 l/ min' for calibration.
Standard setting for vehicle filling is '5 l/ min'.
Depending on the requirements of the dispenser – e. g. in order to obtain higher flowrates – it is also
possible to use the swivel EA 075 A, Safety Swivel Break SSB 16 SS or a fixed hose inlet. These hose
connections are not equipped with a volume flow switch and require the dispenser to be adjustable
to a flowrate of 10 l/min for calibration.
APPROVALS / OPERATING CONDITIONS
ZVA AdBlue LV is suitable for the use with filler inlets to ISO 22241-5. The nozzle is type approved to
EN 13012 and ATEX certified.
Note : The use of the lever latch is not allowed in some countries,
special rules might apply. If you are unsure, please contact Elaflex.
Max. flowrate see chapter 'Hints about the Hose Connection'. Required operating pressure ( at the
nozzle / hose connection ) 1,5 – 3,5 bar. Temperature range -5° C up to +55° C due to the properties of
urea solution. For use at lower temperatures, the nozzle should be installed in conjunction with suitable
dispenser heating systems.
WARNINGS
Please read this manual carefully before installation or operation of the nozzle.
Strong Magnet :
The nozzle spout contains a strong magnet which may impair the functions of heart
peacemakers and implanted difibrillators – keep sufficient distance to the magnet. Also
keep credit cards, mobile phones, watches, data storage devices, hearing aids and similar
equipment away from the nozzle spout. Due to the strong magnet, metal particles may
adhere to the spout when coming in contact with it; this may cause malfunction of the
misfilling prevention of the nozzle.
Avoid Misfilling :
Urea solution is not a fuel additive. Do not dispense the medium into a Diesel tank, but only into a
dedicated separate tank.
Corrosion :
Urea solution can corrode surfaces and metals. Accidental spills on the car paint or clothes should
be wiped off with a damp cloth and further cleaned with water. Keep AdBlue
children. In case of swallowing AdBlue ® seek medical help immediately. Avoid direct contact to the
skin or eyes as it can lead to irritations.

INSTALLATION
Nozzles should only be installed and tested by authorised personnel. Applicable laws, regulations
and Codes of Practice have to be followed.

2 x EW M 36/41 ( double-end spanner with width of 36 mm / 41 mm )
1 x EW 22 test adapter ( included )
1 x EW T AdBlue calibration key ( included )
1 x EW SK 3 ( hexagonal key 3 mm )
Connect the nozzle with a suitable hose assembly. Elaflex recommends Slimline
16 AdBlue hoses with standard compliant stainless steel fittings to meet the
media purity requirements of EN 22241.
For the installation it is necessary to release the captured pressure within the
nozzle. This is done by overriding the misfilling prevention of the nozzle: push
the EW 22 test adapter onto the spout until stop. EW 22 remains in this position
until the end of the function testing.

CALIBRATION
Most light vehicles < 3,5 t allow a trouble-free
filling of the AdBlue tanks with a flowrate of not

to this value for daily operation.
For calibration and testing purposes only
( weights and measures ), the swivel EA 075 LV and
the Safety Svivel Break SSB 16 LV are set to a
flowrate of 8-10 l/min. Use test key EW T AdBlue.
