Shredding paper
Set the switch 1 to position
"AUTO ON CD".
Insert paper in portrait format into the
document feed 8 .
Shredding starts automatically and ends
when all the paper is shredded.
NOTES:
Shred maximum 10 sheets (80 g/m
of paper at a time.
Remove all paper clips and staples larger
than 25 mm before feeding the paper to
avoid damage to the appliance.
Shredding media /
credit card
Set the switch 1 to position
"AUTO ON CD".
Insert the single medium or credit card into
the media / credit card feed 4 .
Shredding starts automatically and
ends when the medium or credit card is
shredded.
NOTES:
Shred maximum 1 medium (e.g. CD) or
credit card at a time.
Insert the credit card into middle part of
the credit card feed 4 . Otherwise, the
shredding process might not start.
When destroying media (e.g. CD), always
hold it by its edge when feeding it into the
appliance.
Clearing a material blockage
Set the switch 1 to position "REVERSE".
The appliance now goes into reverse mode
and the material that is being shredded is
ejected.
Set the switch 1 to position "OFF" as soon
as the jammed material has been ejected.
Switching the appliance off
Set the switch 1 to position "OFF".

Emptying buckets
Switch the appliance off and disconnect the
power plug from socket-outlet.
Remove the blade assembly from the bucket
for paper shreds 6 .
Remove the bucket for media / credit card
shreds from the main bucket by pulling it up
from its holder. Reinstall in reverse order.

Empty both buckets and dispose shredded
materials in an environmentally responsible
manner.
Overheating protection
This appliance is fitted with an overheating
protection. If the motor overheats due to
overloading, the appliance switches off
automatically and the overheat indicator 3
lights up. If this occurs, proceed as follows:
Set the switch 1 to position "OFF".
Remove the power plug from the
socket-outlet to avoid unintended starting of
the appliance.
Allow the appliance to cool for at least
40 minutes.
Resume the operation as described before.
Storage when not in use
Store the appliance in a dry indoor location
protected from direct sunlight, preferably in its
original packaging.
