7.5 Analog output Menu

The analog output can be tested via this menu. For this purpose, loop a multimeter in
the 4 to 20 mA loop.
- Set mA:
Push the sliding switch in the menu window onto the required output current (also the
arrow keys change the value) and click on Set. The transmitter will bring the current
output to your selected level which you can then measure with a multimeter.

7.6 Transmitter Config. Menu

All configurations can be carried out using this menu. Generally, modifications must be
acknowledged in Transmitter Config.
the sub menues of "Transmitter Config", e g. "Unit" or "Scale", are written into the
6740´s EEPROM when being confirmed (ok-button). They need to be activated with
menue "Transmitter Config" - "Apply")
- Unit
Select physical unit. Click on the unit of your choice and click on OK.
The scale must also be changed every time the physical unit is changed. Adapt the
scale accordingly in Transmitter Config.
operating points (pre-alarm, main alarm) should also be adapted in Transmitter
Config. Alarm values and hysteresis in Transmitter Config.
Click on Transmitter-Config. and Apply, to activate the values that have been
transmitted to testo 6740.
- Scale
Prior to changing the scale, please read in this dialog window if the unit corresponds
to your wishes. If this is not the case, please define the unit in Transmitter Config.
Unit, see above.
Select the bottom scale value, to which you wish to assign the 4 mA output signal,
on the left (lower scale). You can increase or decrease the values using the arrow
fields or you can click twice on the value and then write over it.
