Setting up instrument and adapter cable
Remove the front plate of your testo 6740 pressure dew point transmitter (4 screws on
the front cover). Your transmitter should be supplied with 24 VDC (See Instruction
manual on testo 6740). Attach the micromatch plug from the scaling adapter cable
(nose on the right side) to the micromatch socket located on the board. Then attach the
RS232 plug from the scaling adapter cable to the RS232 socket of your PC.

You will find the testo 6740 scaling software in Start

7. Menus

7.1 Configuration Menu

- Interface
Define the PC interface (usually COM1).
- Select language...
You can choose between German or English. Click on the appropriate button and
then on OK

7.2 Read commands Menu

- Version
Call up firmware version
- Serial number
Call up serial number of instrument
- Instrument information
Display
- physical unit
- measurement scale (scaling)
- switch points (alarm settings)
- hysteresis
- absolute pressure
- 1-point-adjustment (offset)
which are currently defined. If changes are to be made here, the Transmitter config.
