    Wir beglückwünschen Sie zu Ihrem neuen WIKING Kaminofen und gehen davon aus, dass Sie damit viel Freude haben werden. Die Fa. Wiking, die seit 30 Jahren hochwertige Öfen entwickelt und fertigt, hat sich in Europa bezüglich Design und fortschrittlicher Technik einen Namen gemacht.

    Schornstein entweicht, wird der Brennwert des Holzes optimal genutzt. Gesetzliche Vorschriften Sofern der WIKING Optic in einen neuen und nicht zugelassenen offenen Kamin eingebaut werden soll, muss dieser stets alle gesetzlichen Vorschriften sowie die vor Ort geltenden Baubestimmungen einhalten. Lassen Sie sich vor Montage des Kamineinsatzes von Ihrem Schornsteinfegermeister beraten.

    Ferner sollte der Schornstein mit einer leicht zugänglichen Reinigungstür versehen sein. Montage und Anschluss (Zeichnung A) WIKING Optic besteht aus Einbaukassette und Einsatz, der nach dem Einbau nur noch einge- schoben wird. WIKING Optic lässt sich auf zweierlei Weise anschließen: 1.
  • Seite 8 Zufuhr von Frischluft aus dem Außenbereich: Die Frischluftöffnung darf niemals geschlossen werden! (Zeichnung A3) Der WIKING Optic ist zum Anschluss an ein Frischluftsystem vorbereitet. Die Frischluftzufuhr (10) kann entweder über die Rückseite oder den Boden des Einsatzes erfolgen. Es kann ent- weder Frischluft von draußen oder Raumluft zugeführt werden.
  • Seite 9 Es muss sichergestellt werden, dass im Einsatz um die Frischluftöffnung herum ausreichend Platz ist, damit dem Einsatz Luft für die Verbrennung zugeführt werden kann. Zwischen Kas- sette bzw. Frischluftöffnung im Einsatz und Wand müssen mindestens 5 mm Luft sein. Bitte beachten: Die Frischluftöffnung ragt hinten 17 mm weiter heraus als die Kassette.

    Zum Thema Brennstoff Zulässige Brennstoffe Der WIKING Optic ist gemäß der o. a. Normen für die Befeuerung mit Holz zugelassen. Es wird empfohlen, trockenes Holz mit einer Restfeuchte von höchstens 20 % zu verwenden. Bei Holz mit einem höheren Feuchtigkeitsgrad sind Versottung, umweltschädliche Emissionen und schlechte Brennwertausnutzung die Folge.

    Luftmenge zugeführt werden. Die Luftzufuhr wird bedien- freundlich mit nur einem Regulierhebel geregelt, der sich beim Modell WIKING Optic unter der Tür befindet (s. Abb. 2). Er lässt sich 20 mm nach vorn und zurückbewegen. Aus nachstehender Tabelle ist das Ver- hältnis zwischen Hebelposition und zugeführter Luft zu entnehmen.
  • Seite 12 Lange Brenndauer Durch das Verbrennen weniger, großer Holzstücke verlängert sich die Brenndauer. Die beste Verbrennung erreicht man durch Drosseln der Zuluft. Im Interesse einer guten Verbrennung ist jedoch darauf zu achten, dass etwas Luft über die ‚Scheibenspülung’ zuströmen kann. Optimale Verbrennung Benutzen Sie sauberes, trockenes Holz! Nasses Holz führt zu schlechter Verbrennung und damit zu Rußbildung und Versottung.

    Anheizen und Nachlegen Erstmalige Ingebrauchnahme Beim ersten Befeuern ist behutsam vorzugehen, da die Materialen im neuen Ofen erst‚ einge- brannt’ werden müssen. Der Kaminofen muss langsam auf maximale Betriebstemperatur ge- bracht werden, und dabei ist einige Male nachzulegen, bis er gründlich durchgeheizt ist. Einbrennen des Lacks Da der Lack auf dem Kaminofen bei den ersten zwei bis drei Heizdurchgängen erst aushärten muss, kann es dabei leicht rauchen und riechen.

    Reinigung und Wartung Achtung! Arbeiten am Kaminofen dürfen nur vorgenommen werden, wenn dieser kalt ist. Äußere Reinigungsarbeiten Hierzu verwenden Sie je nach Bedarf einen trockenen weichen Lappen oder einen Handfeger. Kein Wasser, Alkohol und keinerlei Reinigungsmittel verwenden, weil dadurch der Lack beschä- digt wird.
