1.1 Validity
This document is valid for device type "STP 50-40" (Sunny Tripower CORE1).
1.2 Structure
This document is divided into a language-specific and a language-neutral section.

The tasks described in this document must only be performed by qualified persons. Qualified
persons must have the following skills:

electrical devices and installations

• Knowledge of the applicable standards and directives

2 Safety
2.1

Intended Use

The Sunny Tripower is a transformerless PV inverter, with 6 MPP trackers, that converts the direct
current of the PV array to grid-compliant, three-phase current and feeds it into the utility grid.
The product is suitable for indoor and outdoor use.
The product must only be operated with PV arrays of protection class II in accordance with
IEC 61730, application class A. The PV modules must be compatible with this product.
The product must only be operated with PV modules and cables that have been recommended and
sold by the distributor. Do not connect any energy sources other than PV modules to the product.
The product is not equipped with a transformer and therefore has no galvanic isolation. The
product must not be operated with PV modules whose outputs are grounded. This can cause the
product to be destroyed. The product may be operated with PV modules whose frame is grounded.
