• Connect to a power source and run the saw under no-load to check that it runs
smoothly before using it to cut any materials.
CAUTION: The blade roller guide supports the blade when cutting and must at all
times rest against the back edge of the blade. It should rotate freely.
To remove the blade:
1. Turn the unit upside so you can access the jig saw blade
2. Using your thumb and forefinger, push down the tool-less blade change catch.
3. Remove the blade by pulling it out the base of the jig saw.
b. Angle adjustment (Fig.2)
The jig saw shoe can be angled to enable bevel or chamfer cuts. There are preset bevel
detents at 0° and 45° for quick adjustment.
Always ensure the tool is switched off and the plug is removed before
!
making any adjustments or maintenance procedures.
WARNING
Fig. 2
1. With the jigsaw upside down on a
solid surface use the hex key, stored
at the base of the power cord, to
loosen the hex screw securing the
blade guide assembly and the shoe
plate.
2. Move the shoe plate slightly back. It
can now be tilted to the required angle
(between 0° and 45°) using the angle
scale on the shoe plate.
3. Slide the shoe plate until the blade
guide rests against the back of the
blade.
4. Re-tighten the hex screw.
5. For accurate work it is necessary to
do a practice cut first. Check the cut
and reset the angle until the correct
cut is achieved.
6. The blade guide supports the blade
when cutting and must always rest
against the back of the blade.
