Requirement: The appliance has been installed and connected.
1. Place a vessel beneath the Cappuccinatore.
2. Press the ON/OFF button (7).
» The appliance indicates that the water tank needs to be filled.
3. Remove the water tank. Rinse out the water tank with clean water. Fill
the water tank with fresh water and insert it.
» The lighted display indicates that the rotary regulator must be actu-
ated.
4. Turn the rotary regulator on the control panel clockwise up to the stop.
» Hot water flows out of the Cappuccinatore.
5. When water no longer flows out of the Cappuccinatore, turn the rotary
regulator anti-clockwise to the stop.
» Hot water flows out of the outlet.
» The appliance is vented.
6. Fill coffee beans into the bean container (see section 4.3 Filling coffee
beans into the bean container on page 65).
7. As required, you can now either
a) set the water hardness (see section 6 Changing basic settings on
page 76) or
b) use a water filter (see section 7.6 Using a water filter on page 91).
