Planning guidelines

At which points separating modules are used, depends on the structure of the system and must
be determined from case to case depending on the specific user requirements.
The following guidelines must be observed.
- Every separating module is an independent BUS-2 user and thus has its own address.
- A total of 64 addresses can be allocated at BUS-2. The address sequence is random.
- Max. 8 separating modules may be used per loop or stub.
- No other BUS-2 users may be connected parallel to the separating modules.
- If the bus applies to several zones, separating modules must be installed at the zone
junctions (zone separation).

Depending on the structure of the loop in the individual zones, additional separating modules can be
installed.
