E adesso... spingere!
Quando l'animale si sarà abituato a pas-
sare attraverso la portina spalancata, è
tempo di affrontare il passo successivo.
Lasciate la portina chiusa, ma non blocca-
ta: l'animale, che ormai riconoscerà quel
passaggio come suo, non ci penserà due
volte a spingerla per passare dall'altra
parte. E se questo non accadrà subito,
ricorrete ancora una volta al cibo. Una
sniffatina, e il vostro cane o gatto tenterà
naturalmente di raggiungere il suo obiet-
tivo. È un sistema collaudato.
Spesso il trasloco è una ragione in più per
istallare la portina. Se avete traslocato
anche voi, tenete presente che il vostro
animale ha i suoi tempi per abituarsi al
nuovo ambiente. Perciò non abbiate fret-
ta: solo quando si sentirà finalmente a
casa sua, avrà gli stimoli giusti per scopri-
re tutti i segreti e le novità, tra cui la sua
portina.
Per quel che riguarda la serratura, abbia-
te un po' di pazienza: solo quando l'ani-
male sarà abituato ad entrare e uscire
dalla portina cominciate a chiuderla a
chiave. Cani e gatti imparano a capire che
la portina non sempre è aperta, ma che
resta comunque un meraviglioso passag-
gio tutto per loro.

And now... push!
Once your pet has got used to going
through the flap, it's time to face the next
step. Leave the pet flap closed, but not
locked: your pet, who now considers the
flap to be its own, will not think twice
about pushing it to get to the other side.
And if this doesn't happen straight away,
go back to the old food 'blackmail'
method. One sniff and your dog or cat
will naturally attempt to reach its target.
It's a proven method.
Often a move of house may provide ano-
ther reason to install the pet flap. If you
have just moved, remember that your pet
also needs time to become familiar with
their new surroundings too. Therefore
don't rush: Only when your pet feels per-
fectly at home, will it feel the need to dis-
cover all the secrets and new adventures,
amongst which, its own private door.
As for the lock, you need a little patience:
only start to lock the flap once your pet is
used to coming in and going out of it.
Cats and dogs will soon learn that the
door is not always open, but it still
remains a wonderful way of coming in
and going out all on their own.

Et maintenant... pousser!
Lorsque l'animal sera habitué à passer à
travers la porte ouverte, il faut passer à la
2ème étape. Laissez la porte pour ani-
maux fermée sans cependant la bloquer:
l'animal, qui reconnaît désormais ce pas-
sage comme lui appartenant, n'hésitera
pas à la pousser pour passer de l'autre
côté. Dans le cas contraire, recourez
encore une fois aux aliments. Une reni-
flette, et votre chien ou votre chat essa-
yera de manière autonome d'atteindre
son objectif. C'est un système expéri-
menté.
Le déménagement est souvent une raison
de plus pour installer la porte pour ani-
maux. Si vous avez déménagé, sachez
que votre animal a besoin d'un certain
temps pour s'habituer au nouvel environ-
nement. Ne soyez donc pas impatients:
ce n'est que quand il se sentira finalement
chez lui qu'il éprouvera l'envie de décou-
vrir tous les secrets et les nouveautés,
parmi lesquels sa porte pour animaux.
En ce qui concerne la serrure, il faut avoir
un peu de patience. Ne fermer la porte à
clé uniquement lorsque votre animal aura
pris l'habitude d'entrer et sortir par la
porte pour animaux. Les chiens et les
chats apprendront que même si elle n'est
pas toujours ouverte, la porte pour ani-
maux est un merveilleux passage qui leur
est réservé.

Sobald sich das Tier daran gewöhnt hat,
durch die offene Tür ins Freie zu hüpfen, ist
es Zeit mit dem nächsten Lernschritt zu
beginnen. Lassen Sie die Tür dieses Mal
geschlossen, aber nicht gesperrt: das Tier
erkennt diesen Durchgang bereits als seinen
Besitz an und zögert daher nicht durch
Drücken der Tür nach Hause zu kommen.
Sollte Ihr Tier nicht ansprechen, versuchen
Sie's nochmals mit einem Leckerbissen. Nur
mal schnell schnüffeln, und Ihr Hund oder
Ihre Katze wird den ersehnten Leckerbissen
selbstverständlich erreichen wollen. Dies ist
eine absolut bewährte Methode.
Oft ist ein Umzug ein Grund mehr, um
diese Haustiertür einzubauen.
Bei einem Umzug sollten Sie darauf
Rücksicht nehmen, dass auch Ihr Tier sich
erst mal im neuen Heim einleben muss.
Haben Sie also keine Eile: erst, wenn sich Ihr
Tier richtig zu Hause fühlt, ist es auch bereit,
alle Tricks und Neuigkeiten, zu denen auch
seine neue Tür gehört, zu entdecken.
Haben Sie daher etwas Geduld, Ihrem Tier
den Gebrauch des
Verschlusssystems beizubringen: erst, wenn
sich das Tier daran gewöhnt hat durch die
Tür ein- und auszugehen, beginnen Sie
zunächst die Tür zu verriegeln.
Hunde und Katzen lernen, dass die Tür
nicht immer offen steht, aber dennoch ein
wunderbar praktischer Durchgang nur für
sie selbst ist.
