Precautions when using with rechargeable battery
These can run out or explode, if inappropriately handled. Please observe the
following safety notes when handling the rechargeable battery for use with
this unit:
■ Use only rechargeable batteries mentioned in these operating
instructions.
■ Do not lay the rechargeable battery into fire or expose these to direct heat.
■ Do not try to insert powerpacks the wrong way around.
■ To prevent the product from being damaged make sure you have removed
the rechargeable battery if you will not use the product over a longer peri-
od of time or if the rechargeable battery has been discharged.
■ If battery fluid has come into contact with skin or clothes, flush it off imme-
diately with fresh water.
■ Do not recharge the rechargeable battery unattended.
■ Once the reacharging process is finished, disconnect the charger from the
power supply.
■ Make sure the powerpack or the device does not come in contact with
dampness or wetness
■ Charge the powerpack every 3 months, even if not used, to achieve a
longer lifetime

3. Unpacking and checking the device

1. Carefully unpack the scope of delivery.
2. Check whether the s cope of delivery is complete:
• Ringflash HS 400
• Powerpack
• Battery charger
• Umbrella holder
• Guide rails
• Fastening rail for camera
