Quick start guide
Preparing for use
If there is a sticker on the display, remove the sticker
before you install the appliance.
1 Put the plug in the wall socket and wait.
2 Different languages appear on the
display. Press the OK button for 3 seconds
when the desired language appears (Fig. 1).
The appliance automatically exits the MENU mode.
3 The message 'NO WATER! Fill water tank'
appears.
4 Remove the water tank from the
appliance (Fig. 2).
Do not remove the water tank while the appliance is
operating.
5 Rinse the water tank and fill it with fresh
water. (Fig. 3)
Remove the lid to create a bigger filling opening.
6 Put the water tank back and push it firmly
into place.
The message 'INSERT WATER SPOUT' appears.
7 Insert the hot water spout into the appliance,
place a mug or cup under the spout and press
OK (Fig. 4).
At first installation, the appliance fills with water and hums
loudly in the process.
8 The appliance rinses and then switches off
automatically.
Note: It is normal that there are some traces of coffee
and water in the appliance when you use it for the
first time. This is because the appliance has been
tested in the factory to make sure it is in perfect
working order.
Brewing espresso
Fill the coffee bean container with

beans (Fig. 5).
Place a cup under the coffee spout (Fig. 6).

To select a different strength, press the coffee

strength/ground coffee button
and buttons to select your preferred coffee
%
strength. Press OK to confirm the preferred
coffee strength.
For a short coffee, press the

a standard coffee, press the
large coffee, press the button.

5 Press the desired coffee button twice for two
cups.
Brewing cappuccino or latte macchiato
1 Move the release slide towards you and
remove the lid of the milk container (Fig. 7).
2 Fill the milk container with fresh, skimmed
milk.
3 Attach the milk container firmly to the
nozzle. Place a cup under coffee outlet and
turn the milk frothing pipe towards the
cup (Fig. 8).
4 Press the cappuccino or latte macchiato
button once.

Cleaning
1 When the message 'EMPTY WASTE BIN'
appears on the display, you have to empty
the waste bin.
2 Open the service door, take out the waste
bin and empty it. Next, empty and clean
the drip tray and clean the inside of the
appliance (Fig. 9).
Switch off the appliance before you open
the service door.
