• Radio: Slide the FUNCTION switch to the RADIO position and rotate the TUNING knob to tune in the
desired frequency. Use the BAND switch to select the desired radio band. Unfold the antenna com-
pletely to ensure best possible reception.
• Tape: Press STOP/EJ. to open the tape compartment. Insert a cassette (bottom-up) and push to close
the cassette door. Use the buttons PAUSE, STOP/EJ., F.FWD, REW and PLAY to operate the cassette
playback.
• Battery operation: Disconnect from mains, before operating this device by battery power! Insert
4 type UM-1 batteries into the battery compartment on the rear, obtaining the correct polarity as ind-
cated inside the battery compartment.
• Headphones: Connect headphones with a 3.5 mm audio plug to the headphone jack. The internal
speakers will be muted automatically.
