Pull the upper cloth edge upwardly over the arms and head of your baby so that a cap is
13
formed. With babies which can already hold up their head on the own, it is enough to pull
the cloth upwardly under the child's arms. Afterwards, move the material back into the
neck area.
Take the cloth strip on your left shoulder with the left hand on the inner edge, and tighten
14
the entire cloth gradually in three to five phases so that the cloth adjusts individually to
your baby's back.
Keep this cloth strip under tension, and also tighten the cloth on the other side gradually in
15
three to five phases.
Now pull both cloth strips upward by moving your hips, and place these forward over the
16
shoulders, as it is pleasant for you.
Cross both cloth strips underneath the baby's bottom, and guide them between the baby's
17
legs and behind your body on the back.
Fasten the two cloth ends with a double knot.
18
Check once again whether everything is pleasantly tied for both of you, and shove your
19
baby's knees upward so that they come to rest at the height of your baby's navel.
To take the cloth off, always take the flat hand from behind through the cloth strips running
over the shoulder and let the material glide downward. Afterwards, move the horizontally
running cloth strip downward until your baby's feet are exposed. If your baby has fallen asleep,
bend your upper body forward, lay your baby down and cover it up if necessary. Your baby will
normally continue to sleep. Only now should you turn the entire cloth forward in order to
open the knot and to completely take off the cloth.
