Safety
1. The dehumidifier must only be connected to a 230 V, 50 Hz earthed outlet fitted
with an RCD.
2. The dehumidifier may be used by children of 8 years and above and by persons
with reduced physical, sensory or mental capability or lack of experience and
knowledge provided they have been given supervision or instruction concerning
use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
3. Never let children play with the dehumidifier.
4. Cleaning and maintenance may be carried out by children but only under
adult supervision.
5. The dehumidifier must always stand upright.
6. Never sit on, cover or place foreign objects on the dehumidifier.
7. Make sure that the rubber plug in the drain hose hole is securely in place before
turning the dehumidifier on if it is not to be used for continuous dehumidification.
8. The dehumidifier must stand upright for at least 1 hour before it is used for the first
time. The same applies after the the dehumidifier has been moved or cleaned, etc.
9. Make sure that the air filter is clean and correctly fitted before turning
the dehumidifier on.
10. Never use the dehumidifier if the mains lead, plug or any other part is damaged
or does not work properly.
11. Never try to dismantle or repair you dehumidifier yourself.
12. If the dehumidifier needs to be used with an extension lead or trailing socket,
make sure that the lead used is suitable for use with the dehumidifier.
13. Never plug in or unplug the dehumidifier with wet hands.
14. Never insert foreign objects into the dehumidifier's openings.
15. Unplug the dehumidifier immediately if it emits strange noises, odours or smoke.
16. Unplug the dehumidifier immediately if it tips over or if it is splashed with water.
Contact a qualified service technician before using the dehumidifier again.
17. The dehumidifier must not be covered in any way. Make sure that no foreign
objects cover or block the air inlet/outlet. Blockages can lead to fires, electric
shocks or damage to the dehumidifier.
