4. When the battery is fully charged, disconnect the charger from the power
mains and only then disconnect first the clamp from the negative and then
the clamp from the positive terminal of the battery.

Socket (4)

From the integrated 6/12 V socket (4) you can run devices with a maximal
current consumption of 4 Ampere.
Attention
Do not run any devices from the 6/12 V socket while charging a battery!

Output Protection

The unit is equipped with an output current protector, which will be
triggered output current > 7 Ampere. If the protector has been triggered,
for instance by a short circuit, pull the power plug. After about 3 minutes
the fuse will restore the 6 V/12 V connection to function and the unit is
ready for use again.
A 12 V lead-acid battery consists of 6 separate cells of 2 V each. If one
cell is damaged, a short circuit develops in the Battery and the charger
does not charge.

Cleaning and Storing

Before undertaking any cleaning or storing the unit, pull the power plug.
Clean the unit only with a moist cloth and allow it to dry completely before
using it again. In no case use abrasives or aggressive chemicals.
Store the unit in a dry place.
Regularly clean the battery clamps and the battery terminals. Check the
battery connections of the vehicle regularly for tightness and apply
terminal grease to ensure a good connection.
