Intended Operation
The Quick Charger is suitable for charging NiCad and NiMH rechargeable
batteries of the types LR03 (AAA) and LR06 (AA), which are designed for
rapid charging. When travelling abroad, use the suitable travelling adaptor.
Charging of Rechargeable Batteries
• Select the correct travelling adaptor and attach it to the unit. Slide the
adaptor down between the guide rails until it snaps into place with an
audible click. To detach the adaptors, press the button labelled "PRESS"
and slide the adaptor off the unit.
• Connect the charger to a suitable power source (power mains adapter or
12V cigarette lighter socket). The LED briefly lights up orange to indicate
the unit is ready.
• Set the toggle switch (1) to charge either 2 or 4 Batteries.
• Insert 2 or 4 rechargeable batteries into the charger. Please observe
correct polarity. You can charge either LR03 (AAA) or LR06 (AA) Batteries.
If you want to charge 2 Batteries, place them in the charging compartments
on the left hand side of the unit. The unit will not work with 1 or 3 batteries.
• If the batteries are suitable, the charging process now starts. During the
charging process, the LED lights up red.
• The charger switches automatically to the charge preservation mode after
the charging operation is completed. This is indicated by the LED turning
green.
• If the device is no longer required, disconnect it from the power supply and
remove the rechargeable batteries.
Upon pressing the "Discharge" button, the charger will switch into the
discharging mode. The LED now lights up yellow. When the discharging
process is complete or upon pressing "Discharge" again, the unit will
automatically change to the charging mode.
Important! New rechargeable batteries will only reach their maximum capacity
after several charging cycles (Charging - Discharging).
