5. Wash the inside of the jug with
ordinary washing-up water and
then rinse it out thoroughly
with clean water.
6. Dry all parts thoroughly after
cleaning.
Descaling

Heat and pour away at

ter after descaling.
Depending on water hardness, li-
mescale may form inside the jug.
You must decalcify the appliance
if the inner walls or the hotplates
on the base of the water tank
show visible lime deposits.
1. Mix ½ a litre of water with
2 tablespoons of concentrated
vinegar.
2. Pour this mixture into the jug.
3. Allow the mixture to come to
the boil.
4. Then allow the mixture to take
effect briefly.
5. Dispose of the mixture. Do not
pour it into an enamel-covered
sink.
6. Rinse the water tank out thor-
oughly with cold water.
7. Thoroughly dry all parts after
cleaning.
8. Heat one or two full batches of
water, as described in section
„Heating water" on page EN-13,
and then pour the water away.
