IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Electric appliances are not toys! Always keep children away from the appliance.
When using electric appliances, basic safety instructions must be observed. To avoid
the risk of burns, electric shock, fire, and/or personal injury, please read this Instruc-
tion Manual carefully before beginning to work with the appliance, and follow all
the instructions while using it.
Keep this Instruction Manual in a safe place for further use.
When passing the appliance on to a third party, please attach this Instruction Manual
so that it is available to that party.
•
Connect the appliance only to a properly installed socket outlet. Do not use a
table-type socket outlet or an extension cord.
•
The voltage specified on the nameplate of the appliance must match the voltage
of the power outlet.
•
Do not operate the appliance via a timer or any other remote switching devices.
•
Make sure to route the power cord in such a way that it does not cause anyone to
stumble while the appliance is being used.
•
Keep the power cord away from hot surfaces, open flames, and sharp edges.
•
Never touch the appliance, the power cord and the power plug with moist or wet
hands.
•
Make sure that the power cord is not routed through sinks.
•
Do not immerse the appliance in water. To unplug the power cord, always pull
the plug, never pull the cord.
•
The power outlet must be near the appliance, so that the plug can be pulled out
easily in an emergency.
•
Do not use the appliance in the open.
•
Use the appliance only on a stable, dry, heat-resistant and moisture-resistant
surface. Do not place the appliance near heat sources or open flames.
